Watch: Pres. Duterte Meets 20 Thailand Business CEO, Urge to them to Invest More in PH

The tough-talking President of the Republic who is now in Thailand for the ASEAN Summit meets with at least 20 CEOs of Thailand and urged them to invest more in the Philippines.

According to Pres. Rody Duterte he is inviting the Thai CEO to invest more and do business in the country's new industrial destinations locae in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Clark, Cebu, Bohol and Davao.

The President encouraged Thai's business leaders to continue their operations in the Philippines, pointing out that its economy provides a fertile ground for business.

Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying "The Philippines values its economic partnership with Thailand. I am pleased with the current Thai investments in my country and hope they will continue to increase in the years to come," the President said.

The former Mayor of Davao City thanked Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group and the Erawan Group for their investments in the food industry, real estate, and hotel operations in the Philippines.

Pres. Duterte also noted that I invite you to ride on the momentum of [the] Philippine growth story and invest especially in the new industrial destinations of Metro Manila, Pampanga, Clark, Cebu, Bohol, and Davao,” he said.

“The Philippines’ Build, Build, Build is in full swing and you are all welcome to participate,” he added.

The country's chief executive also assured that reforms are underway to foster a better business climate not only for Thailanders but also for all international businesses to do business in the Philippines.
