Former senator and controversial politician Senator Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes released an official statement through his Twitter (X) account a few hours ago after the controversial press release of Atty. Baligod denies allegations that he received $2M or any amount from Zaldy Co.
I vehemently deny that I received $2M or any amount from Zaldy Co for the ICC investigation or any other purpose. This is an attempt to discredit the ongoing ICC proceedings against duterte. I will be filing cyberlibel cases against Levi Baligod, Mike Defensor, Jay Sonza, the 18 ex-soldiers, and all those who are maliciously circulating this blatant lie. This is not new to me. I will not be distracted. Hahabulin ko kayo.
According to Trillanes, he vehemently denies that he received the alleged cash from the 18 ex-Marines. He noted that he did not receive such an amount for the ICC investigators or any other purpose. Earlier today, Atty. Baligod claimed that the former senator used the alleged amount for financial assistance given to the ICC investigators.
Trillanes also added that the alleged affidavit is an attempt to discredit the ongoing ICC proceedings against former Pres. Rody Duterte.
The former senator also added that he will be filing cyberlibel cases against Atty. Levi Baligod, Mike Defensor, Jay Sonza, and 18 ex-soldiers.
Even those who are maliciously circulating this blatant lie. Trillanes stated further that the allegations is not new to him and he will be distracted and will come after those who are attempting to discredit him.
The Twitter post of Sonny Trillanes already gained some tractions in the Twitter universe generating more than 38K views in just 3 hours after it was posted online.
