DDS Blogger and Some Netizens Emotional Upon Seeing the Spectacular Sight of Manila Bay After Clean-up
A prominent DDS Blogger and some netizens couldn't control their tears and emotions after seeing the spectacular sight of Manila Bay after the initial clean-up with the coordinated efforts of volunteers and various government workers under the Duterte administration.
According to DDS Blogger Krizette Laureta Chu, she did not think it would happen in her generation, or in any generation, Manila Bay looking like the photo she shared on her Facebook account.
Krizette Chu posted the following statement on Facebook:
I honestly did not think it would happen in my generation. Or in any generation. Manila Bay looking like this. Spectacular.
I honestly did not think there was hope for this area, or that a leader will be able to move 5,000 people to clean up Manila Bay.
Look at the things we could do, Pilipinas.
I'm not crying. You're crying.

Some concerned netizens shared their excitement with the new life of Manila Bay showing signs of improvement after Pres. Duterte ordered the DENR and various government agencies to clean-up the world's famous Manila Bay.
One of the concerned netizens even compared the previous state of the Manila Bay as he shared a photo he captured last July 2016. The concerned netizen was identified as Christopher Abao who stated that it was his first time to jog at the Baywalk but he never returned due to massive pollutions and thought that one day Pres. Duterte will clean it up and it happened indeed last January 27, 2019.
Pres. Rody Duterte ordered the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government to spearhead a billion-peso massive clean-up of Manila Bay.
During the kick-off of the Manila Bay Clean-up, there more than 5,000 volunteers participated in cleaning up Manila Bay. Those volunteers came from all walks of life, including government employees and other volunteer groups.
