The ruling political party of the Philippines, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino - Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) revealed its list of eight "very possible" Senatorial Candidates for the 2019 Midterm Elections. The initial list of senatorial tickets of PDP-Laban was also presented to PDP-Laban Chairperson, Pres. Rody Duterte.
Former Senate Pres. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III, President of PDP-Laaban, the Senatorial slate of the ruling political party now includes himself, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher "Bong" Go, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and Presidential Political Adviser Francis Tolentino.
Aside from the three prominent political figure who were close to the President, the senatorial slate also include Davao Rep. Karlo Nograles, Makati City Rep. Monsour del Rosario, Quirino Rep. Dakila "Dax" Cua and Maguindanao Rep. Zajid "Dong" Mangudadatu.
Senator Pimentel confirmed that the party already presented the initial eight list of possible senatorial bet to Pres. Rody Duterte, the Chairperson of PDP-Laban, during an assembly on Friday evening which was attended by the top officials of the party including the President himself.
The presentation of the possible eight senatorial bet came after more than two weeks when Pimentel sought Pres. Duterte's thought about an initial list of 24 names agreed by the members of the party which is considered as the largest so far in terms of memberships nationwide.
Aside from the Initial Eight List of Senatoriables presented on Friday, the previous list of PDP-Laban's senatorial candidates are listed below:
