Netizens took to social media as they revealed some possible reasons why village officials from the Bicol Region top the latest alleged Narco List released by the Philippine Drug EEnforcement Agency (PDEA).
According to some concerned netizens, the huge number of Barangay Officials from Bicol Region who were included in the controversial Barangay Narco List only proved that there's is indeed failures of the local government and national elected officials in the said region in terms of their campaign against illegal drugs.
PDEA Dir. Gen. Aaron Aquino said the regions with the most number of officials involved in illegal drugs were from Bicol with 70 executives; Caraga with 34; and the ARMM with 13.
Based upon the list released by PDEA to the media and the general public today about 207 Barangay Officials nationwide have been linked to illegal drugs. Out of the 207 in the "Narco List," 117 are Barangay Kagawads while the remaining 90 officials are Barangay Chairmen.
