Netizen Lectures Kakampinks for Believing that Google Trends Predicted VP Leni's Victory

A concerned netizen and a veteran TraveLife publisher lectured some of the Kakampinks who believed on their latest meme saying that Google Trends predicted VP Leni Robredo's victory over consistent survey leader Bongbong Marcos.

The latest meme passed around Twitter by Kakampinks has been met with laughter by BBM supporters as they couldn't help but wonder why the supporters of the Vice President were so happy with the latest political development in the country.

According to TraveLife Magazine publisher Christine Cunanan, she did some quick research on Twitter and discovered that even performing artist like Audie Gemora falls for this PR stunt allegedly initiated by the Kakampinks.

Here's the Viral Tweet of Audie Gemora:

The veteran author found it ludicrous that the supporters of VP Leni and Kiko Pangilinan would be so stupid to think that VP Leni making it to Google Trends top searches is an indicator of her victory in the 2022 elections.

Christine Cunanan argued and lectured all the Kakampinks by saying that if she Google Leni Robredo 1000 times, looking for her newest bloopers just for laughs does not mean she is voting Leni in the election.

The Magazine author claimed she knew a lot of people who have done the same. Cunanan then ended her brief social media post taking a swipe at the Kakampinks for trusting Google trends but not the surveys conducted by prominent survey companies through scientific data gathering.

Cunanan even asked who among the Kakampinks started such stupidity to wrap up her post.

Read the Complete Statement of Christine Cunanan:

Oh my goodness. Really? For example, I’ve probably googled Leni Robredo 1000 times, looking for her newest bloopers just for laughs. I know a lot of people who’ve done the same. Are we included in this so-called @Google Trends”?

PS: Bilib na bilib kayo sa Google trends but hindi sa mga surveys? Who started this stupidity anyway?

Netizens also took to social media and reacted with the latest expose made by Christine Cunanan.

Here's Some of the Comments from Netizens:

CJ Cajoles: Freelancers like us and digital marketers who use Google Trends, SEO and keyword rankings are so laughing right now. Hayaan na natin kase nga sa science-based surveys, gumagapang pa sila sa milya-milyang hahabulin.  #DreamOn 20ish days left til reality slaps you in the face.

Orman Manansala: They will believe in anything right now.

Noi Ditchon: They be trying too much just so they can evade the inevitable pain of losing!

Tani Tana: Or they are trying to give a mindset in order to justify a smartmatic miracle

Philip Nazareno: As far back as February, Google already said: “Google Trends is not a substitute for polling data. Search interest has no bearing on voter intention - Google users may search for a party or politician for any number of reasons, without intending to vote for them.”
