BBM's Partido Federal Release Statement Countering Claims Marcos Not PFP Member

The political party of Presidential bet Sen. Bongbong Marcos, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas released an official statement through the party's Secretary General Gen. Thompson Lantion (Ret.) on the alleged publicity stunt of disgraced former member Mr. Abubakar Mangelen. 


The mainstream media keeps on reporting about the controversial and alleged publicity stunt made some former members of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas just to show fears and hatred among the supporters of BBM. 


A certain groups claiming to be the real officers of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) says the issuance of a certificate of nomination and acceptance (Cona) to Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is "unathorized, unilateral, and illegal" as they claimed that the senator is not a member of their group. 

The group who claims to be the real PFP was led by Nationa Commission for Muslim Filpinos Commissioner Abubakar Mangelen, who also claimed that he is the duly-elected chairman of Partido Federal ng Pilip‌as. 

Mangelen said their advisory that there is irregularity, anomaly, and injustice done by some officers of the PFP" when the Cona was issued to non-member. 


According to Sec. General Lantion, last October 5, 2021, former Sen. Bongbong Marcos joined the PFP and assumed the position of Chairman. 

The controversial former PFP chairman Mr. Abubakar Mangelen was unseated as Chairman in the party's convention last September 18, 2021, when the party indorsed Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr., as its presidential candidate, and the position of chairman was left vacant for Sen. Bongbong Marcos.

Statement of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas Secretary General Gen. Thompson Lantion (Ret.) on the publicity stunt of disgraced former member Mr. Abubakar Mangelen.

Mr. Abubakar Mangelen was unseated as Chairman in the party’s convention last September 18, 2021, when the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) indorsed Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. as its presidential candidate, and the position of Chairman was left vacant for Senator Marcos.

On October 5, 2021 former Senator Marcos joined the PFP and assumed the position of Chairman. On October 6, 2021 former Senator Marcos filed his candidacy for president as the “official candidate” of the PFP in the May 9, 2022 elections.

Mr. Mangelen is a member of the MRRD-NECC, together with its Chairman former Tesda Secretary Guiling Mamondiong, and its President former DAR Secretary John Castriciones who is now running for senator under PDP-Laban.


Mr. Mangelen, Secretary Mamondiong, and Secretary Castriciones of the MRRD-NECC have openly called for the establishment of a “revolutionary government” under President Rodrigo Duterte. President Duterte later disowned them. There is an open investigation of the PNP-CIDG in Camp Crame against these illegal activities of MRRD-NECC.

Mr. Mamondiong left the PFP in 2019 to join the PDP-Laban to run for governor in Lanao del Sur against Governor Mamintal Adiong, Jr. Governor Adiong was supported by Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio. Mr. Mamondiong filed an election protest with the Comelec after he lost to Governor Adiong. Mr. Castriciones also left the PFP in 2021 to join the PDP-Laban and run for senator in the May 9, 2022 elections under the administration party.

The PFP was approved as a national political party by the Comelec on October 5, 2018.
