Lawyer Asks Netizens Not to be Deceive by Media Spin on NPA Reporting

A veteran lawyer and prominent social media personality Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles asked netizens not to be deceived by the alleged media spin on CPP-NPA reporting in various parts of the country.

According to the lawyer, the Filipinos should be aware with the alleged manipulations of the mainstream media in terms of reporting involving the Communist Party of the Philippines and the New People's Army.

Atty. Angeles explained that the synchronized operations of the 12th Infantry Batallion and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Capiz was reported by the media as "massacre."

The controversial story was only based on the accounts of the alleged victims and they are not considering the story in the side of the government troops involved in the said operation.

The lawyer noted that when somebody discussed massacre, the incident should happened in one place and there will be many victims and this never happened in Capiz.

The government troops have their sarch warrants, they were just using a synchronized operations, they served the warrants in various Barangays belonging to Tapaz, Capiz.

Based on initial reports of the goverment troops a total of 16 personalities were arrested. There are specific locations that encounter happened and 9 of them died due to the operations but they were in separate Barangays.

Read the Complete Explanations of Atty. Trixie:

Aysus.
