Gov. Remulla Claims Hacking Incident as the Reason Why Macoy Dubs Appears on Live Video

The camp of Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla claimed that a hacking incident was the reason why popular influencer Macoy Dubs appeared on their Facebook Live event.

In a message sent to the media, Remulla's camp clarified that it is not associated with CSG Photography who had earlier claimed responsibility with the social media mishap.

Gov. Remulla's camp said "We do not even knowh who these people are. We have never hired a CSG Photography no do we know who that event group is," Remulla's camp said.

The representative from Remulla's camp added further that they detected something similar to a hacking of their page but was able to retrieve the account later.

Meanwhile, GNPP, the alleged Facebook admin which is also behind Macoy Dubs Page, assured that is more cautious to prevent the event from happening again in the future.

"As the managing group of the online event. Our team takes responsibility of the system error that occured today. Rest assured that moving forward, we will be more cautious in handling these matters," it said.

GNPP, the event, public relation and music marketing team allegedly behind Macoy Dubs and Remulla's Page, apologized and took responsibility for the technical glitch where Mark Averilla, known as Macoy Dubs, appeared on Facebook live of Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla's FB Page.

Due to the latest pronouncement of the camp of Gov. Remulla, veteran City Prosecutor and prominent lawyer Atty. Darwin Canete urged the Governor to file a case against the culprits.

According to Atty. Canete, "hacking is a serious cybercrime. I suggest they refer the case to NBI. Otherwise, it's just a lame excuse," the lawyer stated.
