Netizen Lectures DITO Critics Who Claims Company Logo's Dominant Color is Pro-China

A concerned netizen lectured one of DITO Telecom's critics on social media after a Facebook Page, DITO Telecommunity Users posted the tri-color logo of DITO Telecom.

Instead of appreciating, the DITO critics claimed that the dominancy of the red color in the logo of DITO symbolizes that the company is Pro-China.

"Looking to its symbolism, the dominance of the red color prevails. The color of China isn't so? So stop making a facade symbolism that the priority is the Filipino People. Ater all this is just an accumulation of wealth for the few and elites." the critic stated.

The statement of the DITO Telecom critic who was identified as Salm Dumanlag caught the attentions of concerned netizen Tio Moreno who lectured Dumanlag for his malicious statement against the third telco player in the country.

According to Tio Moreno, the red color is not about China, colors don't describe a country. A certain nation is represented by its own people, it's government and not through colors.

Red is often used by marketing proessionals because it stimulates impulse, it catches the eyes, and it's easy to be combined with other colors.

Red the Complete Lecture of Tio Moreno:

IT’S FUNNY HOW YOU MAKE MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MOLE

Try to indulge yourself in the business industry so that you would understand that RED is not about CHINA. Colors don’t describe a country. A certain nation is represented by its people, it’s government— not through colors.

RED is often used by marketing professionals because it stimulates impulse, it catches the eyes, and it’s easy to be combined with other colors.

Cases in point: Coca-Cola, KFC, Levi’s, Canon, Lays, Jollibee,Kit Kat, etc. — utilized the “red and white” combo. Toblerone, Red Bull, McDonalds, Shell Gasoline, Burger King, etc.— used “red and yellow” combo.

Following the direction of your argument is like following the path trudged by a bunch of numpties. So, if the dominant color on DITO’s logo is BLUE, it automatically prioritizes the Filipino people? Or it’s just a facade symbolism again because Australia, Belize, British Virgin Islands, and many others also use blue?

Wait, which connotation on color RED you are pertaining specifically? FLAGS? Cultural Context? Or your HATRED to China and the government?

Remember that in Asia, red is usually a color of wedding. It symbolizes fertility, fortune, and happiness. However, some countries associate red for mourning, war, and death (like some African countries do).

If your issue is on the dominancy of the red color which you associate to China, why not include Vietnam, Kyrgyztan, USSR, Spain, etc?

Philippine flag even has a red color on it which is equal to blue (don’t wanna talk about history why red is placed under blue). Hence, why make it a big deal?

A product LOGO is not tantamount to a country’s FLAG. Let that sink in!

PS: DITO is trying to patch up the backlog in our internet connectivity, if you have a better solution, lay it down. There’s a big difference between a valid criticism and an unwarranted whining
