Toronto Raptors Outlast Golden State Warriors to Win First NBA Championship (Game 6 Highlights Video)

The Toronto Raptors became the first non-American basketball team to win the NBA Championships and they are now on top of the basketball world. The Raptors defeated the Warriors 114-110 in Game 6 at Oracle Arena.


According to sports historian, the championship experience of the Raptors is the first-ever for a Canadian Team in the NBA, NHL, MLB or NFL since the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadiens each won titles in 1993.

The Raptors historic win is the first-ever NBA Championship trophy of the 24-year-old NBA franchise from Canada.

The Golden State Warriors kept on fighting against the healthy Raptors despite the injury suffered by Klay Thompson in the third quarter.

The Warriors had a chance to win in the closing sseconds of the game but Stephen Curry failed to make his open three pointers with just a few seconds left in the final quarter.

Raptors Kyle Lowry finished with 26 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Raptors. Pascal Siakam also went for 26, while Kawhi Leonard and Fred VanVleet each added 22 of their own. Thompson led the Warriors with 30 points, and Andre Iguodala chipped in 22 points.
