Netizens took to social media as they slammed the alleged fake news and fake photos being posted by one of the country's leading news outlet, the Philippine Star.
Concerned netizen and one of the most avid supporter of Pres. Rody Duterte on social media, Vash Leng criticized the Philippine Star for their misleading photos regarding the accident involving the LRT Trains that collided by allegedly using the wrong photos compared to the photos that were available on social media.
According to Vash Leng, the Philippine Star should fire their photographer and reporter for spreading malicious and fake news about the alleged LRT trains that collided causing some minor injuries among passengers while the operator hit his head on the dashboard injuring his righ arm.
In a Facebook post, PhilStar posted some photos of an old LRT trains and added the following captions "LOOK: The two LRT-2 trains that collided between Anonas and Cubao stations Saturday evening are now at the depot station in Santolan."
The Philippine Star reported that a train of the Light Light Rail Transit Line1 (LRT1) rear ended another train at the Monumento station yesterday morning following a power fluctuation.
LRTA Spokesman Hernando Cabrera revealed that the accident occurred around 7:00 A.M. where one of the train operators hit his head on the dashboard and injured his right arm.
Netizens took notice of the malicious post and lambasted the major news outlet for their misleading presenation of fake photos relating to the LRT1 train collision accident.
