Franco Mabanta Lectures VP Leni Calls Her "Ridiculously, Hilariously Idiotic - Evidence of Robredo's Low IQ"
Prominent social media personality and blogger Franco Mabanta lectured Vice President Leni Robredo for her statement against Pres. Duterte and other politicians not to use freedom of expression to offend people's sensitiveness.
According to Franco Mabanta, the statement of VP Leni against Pres. Duterte and other politicians is indeed stupid, ridiculously, hilariously idiotic-evidence of Robredo's breathtakingly low IQ. He noted that he is going to address the issue because it is the kind of topic that he's extremely comfortable with and have studied end-to-end.
Mabanta lectured VP Leni by saying "The very concept of freedom of speech rests in the concept that in order to think effectively and relay your thoughts correctly, you must risk being offensive."
The veteran blogger questioned VP Leni's IQ for not knowing this kind of fact because any politician or even just mediocre intelligence knows that the right freedom of speech is the apex attribute of any freedom of speech is the apex attribute of any noble democracy.

This is so stupid. Ridiculously, hilariously idiotic -- evidence of Robredo's breathtakingly low IQ. I'm going to address this now because this is a topic I'm extremely comfortable with and have studied end-to-end.

WRONG, Leni. You are so wrong.
THE VERY CORE OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH RESTS IN THE CONCEPT THAT IN ORDER TO THINK EFFECTIVELY AND RELAY YOUR THOUGHTS CORRECTLY, YOU MUST RISK BEING OFFENSIVE.
How can she not know this? Any politician of even just mediocre intelligence knows that the right to freedom of speech is the apex attribute of any noble democracy. It trumps anyone's right not to be offended. In fact -- if I may speak with more accuracy -- NOBODY in the technical sense owns the right not to be offended. That's just silly. It's bad logic. Not to mention a preposterously weak way to live one's life and an irresponsible way of raising our children.
In clearer terms (in case she still doesn't get it), why do you think everyone is usually and immediately upset when something important needs to be discussed?
Because as a humanity, we're meant to attempt to coexist in a world where we will ALWAYS and UNAVOIDABLY have different views and opinions, meaning the offensiveness is essentially built-in or fundamental or inherent to the situation.
For example, when having a difficult conversation with your spouse or significant other, sure, there's the off-chance that you may leave the room without having offended each other's sensitivities. But what happens when you raise the quantity of people in said difficult conversation to ten individuals -- say at a family reunion or at a university gathering? What then are the chances that no one gets offended?
And what happens when you raise the number to 1,000 people in a small town? Or to ten million people in a large city? NO ONE'S ALLOWED TO BE OFFENDED? Come on, man. That's a foolish, pie-faced, weak-in-the-knee proposition. There are 110 million Filipinos -- many of us disagree and that's okay -- but exactly zero of us have the right to censor ANYONE from speaking out freely.
Bill Maher once said that political correctness is the elevation of sensitivity over truth. To which the great Jordan Peterson replied, it's more like the elevation of moral posturing of sensitivity over truth, which is even worse.
My definition is simpler. Political correctness is the virus that fucks everything up by wasting an obscene amount of structural progress and forcing our societies to devolve by decades. It makes us weaker; not stronger. And I blame people like Robredo for a generation that's turning the world brittle and delicate and depressed and handicapped to face the inescapable/inevitable hardships of life, instead of evolving into tough, resilient individuals who are mentally and morally ready to face their challenges head on.
Young snowflakes are everywhere, constantly looking for their pathetic, unrealistic safe spaces...and that's because of leaders like her. Common sense is always readily available and, in many instances, all we need, but this daily exodus from crystal clear logic is the bang that unhinges us from fulfilling our potential as a humanity.
The end of slavery, giving women the right to vote, a worldwide endeavor to end racism and homophobia -- these may all seem like common sense issues, but do note that the reason they're all universal advocacies today is because a few brave people made the awesome decision to offend those who used to think their ideologies were the norm.
To the young:
Do NOT grow up to be emotional hemophiliacs where the slightest "microaggressions" are spoken and you involuntarily and out of nowhere begin to bleed. And please, when it comes to free speech, don't listen to Leni Robredo. I'm happy to debate other things she's said in the past, but when it comes to this, I guarantee you she doesn't know what she's talking about.
And not because she's lying, but because she analyzed it wrong.
