Breaking: NBI Confirms Arrest of Primary Suspect in the Murder of Christine Lee Silawan

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirms to the media the arrest of the primary suspect in the murder of the 16-year-old Christine Lee Silawan in Barangay Bangkal, Lapu-Lapu City.



According to the information presented by Atty. Tomas Enrile, Director of NBI 7, the suspect is a minor and a former lover of the victim.

The suspect already admitted that jealousy was one of the reasons why he murdered brutally Christine Silawan.



The NBI also revealed that a follow up operation is underway after the suspect revealed the names of the other accomplices.

Atty. Enrile also revealed that the arrested suspect is just 17 years old when he allegedly committed the crime.

THe NBI revealed that based on the CCTV footage, Silawan and the suspect were together 30 minutes before Silawan's dead body was discovered. The authorities are eyeing jealousy as the motive of the suspect to kill Silawan.
