Pres. Duterte Gives P45,000 Each Families Who Were Victims of Cordillera Landslide


The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines personally condoles with the families who were victims of landslide in Cordillera as he distributed checks worth P25,000 each, the said amount came from DSWD Funds while SAP Bong Go confirmed that the Office of the President also added another P20,000 for a total of P45,000 to each families.



Pres. Rody Duterte met with 22 bereaved families of landslide victims in Cordillera as the Duterte admin provided an immediate financial assistance to each families.



Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque confirmed that the President himself distributed the checks to each families. Majority of the fatalities came from the Cordillera Region, most of them because of landslides.

Spox Harry Roque was quoted as saying "While the president is pleased by the preparations and the prompt response of the different agencies of government and the local government, we are grieving the death of those who died because of typhoon Ompong, especially in the province of Benguet," Roque said in a press briefing. 

Aside from the cash assistance from the national government under the leadership of Pres. Rody Duterte the admin also provided relief goods and burial assistance to each families who were victims of Bagyong Ompong and the landslides.

During the meeting with the victims of Cordillera landslides, Pres. Rody Duterte did not only condole with the families of the victims but he also wanted to let the people of Cordillera that the government is working to support them in times of need because he and his Cabinet members including the PNP & AFP were all servants of the government.
