Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go made another accomplishments added on his belt, as he made a significant effort in responding to a netizen's complaint and ordered the suspension of the quarrying operations in Rodriguez and San Mateo Rizal.
The gesture of SAP Bong Go only proved that he is indeed a man of his word. Yesterday, SAP Bong Go visited the evacuation centers in Marikina City to check the conditions of the evacuees and the residents didn't waste the opportunity to inform the right hand of the President on Quarrying Operations that caused their place to be easily flooded during the rainy seasons.
The concerned netizen and resident of the flooded area as Erick Krister Songcuan approached SAP Bong Go and informed the closest aide of Pres. Duterte and informed him about the quarrying in San Mateo and Rodriguez, Rizal which destroyed the mountains in the surrounding areas causing floodings in nearby areas and around Metro Manila.
According to the revelations of the concerned netizen, the destruction of the mountains was due to the fact that quarrying is present in the areas within the Quezon Province and it is the reasons why Marikina City was always being flooded even the rain is not that heavy.
During the said conversation between SAP Bong Go and the netizen who complaint about the floodings due to the quarrying operations in Quezon Province, the netizen told SAP Bong Go that it is a well-known fact in Marikina that there's indeed a problem with the quarrying operations.
"“Very known sa Marikina people na ang problema namin dito, kaya nagbabaha dito ng malakas ay dahil doon sa quarrying in Montalban and San Mateo, Rizal,” the resident told Go.
“Private mining company nauubos na yung bundok doon, that’s the reason why we are flooded here kahit sobrang hina ng ulan,” he added.
SAP Bong Go responded by saying "Immediately tomorrow kakausapin ko ang Secretary of Department of Environment and Natural Resources to check kung iyan po ang dahilan,” Go said.
SAP Bong Go added further that "Trabaho po namin yan, gagawin po namin sa abot ng aming makakaya,” Go said.
