TESDA Starts Training of 100,000 Construction Workers for the "Build Build Build" Program of Pres. Duterte


The Duterte admin wants to have sufficient workers for the ambitious "Build, Build, Build" program, with the initiative of TESDA some 100,000 construction workers started training at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) centers nationwide.



The TESDA training for construction workers project was
launched by TESDA Director General Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong during the National Integration Scholarship Program (NISP)  Forum in Butuan City.

To be trained in construction are the indigenous peoples (IPs), the poor and rebel returnees. After the students have completed the program, they will be hired by the government to take part in various infrastructure projects such as building roads, bridges, and establishments.



Pres. Duterte's "ambitious bridge projects" will conect the provinces of Negros Oriental, Cebu, Bohol and Leyte under the" Build, Build, Build" program.

According to the TESDA chief, the infrastructure projecs of the government will guarantee the poor sector, rebel returnees, and IPs to get jobs.

The "Build, Build, Build" infrastructure programs or “Dutertenomics” will earmark some U$160-$180 billion funds for the “ambitious projects”  which will also include the Mega Manila Subway, complex road networks, long-spand bridges, flood control, urban water systems and other-related projects. These programs are expected to be finished until 2022.
