The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines continued his tirades against powerful oligarchs in the country as he targets the P8-Billion debt of the Lopez Group of Companies, owner of ABS-CBN who borrowed heavily from the Development Bank of the Philippines.



Pres. Duterte has been running after the oligarchs and elites in the country as the main culprit for the country's economic sabotage. According to the President an estimated P8-billion debt of ABS-CBN Chairman Eugenio Gabriel "Gabby" L. Lopez III's family will be his next target.

The very first President from Mindanao was able to unearth one of the alleged secrets of the Lopez Group, or the amily's debts in the Developmment Bank of the Philippines. It is reported that the money owed by the Lopez family to DBP was used by the Lopez Group to start their company which is considered as one of the largest multinational company in the Philippines today.

Pres. Duterte also noted during his speech that the crime of economic sabotage allegedly committed by some oligarchs and members of the elite has no bail if they are proven guilty.



During the past few months of the Duterte presidency, Pres. Duterte was able to achieved something never before seen in the Philippines as he run after the oligarchs who had long time debts to the national government.

Some of the richest person in the country like Philippine Airlines Chairman Lucio Tan and the owner of the Dunkin' Donuts' Francise as well as Inquirer, the Prieto Family was also targeted by Pres. Duterte. The President also forced the Ongpin Family to end their control with the online gaming industry.
