Former Senator and Vice Presidential bet lost in a controversial election against VP Leni Robredo, Sen. Bongbong Marcos showed his brilliance anew on social media as he posted a video supporting the moved of Pres. Rody Duterte's decision to withdraw from the International Criminal Court.

Netizens went abuzz online and lauded the statement released by Sen. Bongbong Marcos through a video message wherein he stated that the President has all the right to be angry against the ICC on their decision to investigate Pres. Duterte's war against illegal drugs because of the premise that the Philippine courts are still functioning and the due to to rule of complementarity issue.

According to Sen. Marcos he stands alongside the President as he rips the ICC to shreds, as he noted that the ICC has taken a partisan position. Instead of actually trying to investigate and find out what are the facts around the drug wars they already made the judgement, the ICC are coming to fish for the supposed things they can show to prove that the drug war resulted in an EJK.

The former governor of Ilocos Norte also stated that the President already warned the ICC not to intervene in the Philippines or continue to behave in these unfair and non-objective partisan manner, Pres. Duterte will withdraw the Philippines from ICC, and they had continued and the President have done exactly what he already warned to withdraw from the ICC.

Sen. Bongbong Marcos lauded Pres. Duterte's move to withdraw from the ICC as he was quoted as saying "Kudos to him, for standing up for the Philippines, because hindi naman siguro tama na ginaganyan tayo, tinatrato tayo ng mga dayuhan, na akala mo naman hindi tayo marunong dito, hindi tayo nakakaintindi, tapos tayo ang inuutusan, kung anu-ano ang pinagsasabi tungkol sa atin. Hindi na talaga siguro tama yan, di gawin nila ang gusto nilang gawin, pero wag nila sasabihin na kasama tayo dahil hindi tayo papayag na ganun ang trato sa atin at minamata tayo ng mga puti," Sen. Marcos stated.

The Philippines already sent a formal letter to the International Criminal Court in the country's intention to withdraw from the ICC.

President Rodrigo Duterte also urged other countries to get out of the International Criminal Court (ICC) days after the Philippines withdrew from the tribunal. Speaking to graduates of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Alab Tala Class of 2018 in Baguio City.
