Prominent social media personality and a veteran prosecutor and lawyer, Atty. Darwin Cañete shared the affidavit of Comelec Commissioner Andres Bautista's wife, Mrs. Patricia Cruz-Bautista on his Facebook Page.
The estranged wife of Comelec Commissioner Andres Bautista has alleged that he has close to P1 billion in unexplained wealth stashed away in several bank accounts which the poll chief denied vehemently.
In a 10-page affidavit submitted by Mrs. Bautista to the NBI last week, she claimed that Bautista had several passbooks from the Luzon Development Bank and HSBC.
During a separate interview, the Comelec Commissioner denied all the allegations and instead of explaining his side, he accused her wife of trying to extort money from him to sustain her alleged lavish lifestyle.
