A provincial reporter and veteran mainstream media personality who is a little bit known shared an interesting secrets about Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos, changing his perceptions with the Marcos Family after his 2019 meeting with the younger Marcos.
After so many years of demonization of the Marcoses by the mainstream media as well as our history books which were written by the alleged victors, it is indeed not a surprising things that some Filipinos have bad impressions of the Marcos' children, especially the leading presidential bet, former Senator Bongbong Marcos.
According to regional reporter JP Generoso he is not exempted with the continuous brainwashing of the mainstream media accusing the Marcos Family as the evil ones. However, his bad impressions with the Marcos family, especially with BBM took a 180-degree turn after the surprising gestures of BBM in 2019 for a interview.
JP Generoso recalled that during the year 2019 when he was assigned to conduct a one-on-one interview with BBM, he was in Negros during that time attending an event, he went to the event and asked BBM if he could have a one on one interview with Marcos.
The reporter noted that since the place was crowded and noisy, BBM brought him upstairs into his room. The chairs have bags on them, so the younger Marcos told Generoso to sit on his bed instead.
Generoso started the interview, but after a while, BBM's phone rang and he answered it. After a couple of minutes, Marcos told him that he really need to go downstairs to meet a friend but surprisingly BBM told him to just stay, watch TV and take a rest and he will be back shortly.
This time around, Generoso realized how could a man like BBM, who is such a powerful man, accused of being a tyrant like his dad was, made the reporter lie on his bed like a good old friend. He even wondered if Noynoy Aquino would do the same to him. He was just a nobody, just an insignificant provincial radio reporter but BBM treated him so well.

BBM, THE RICH MAN WHO LET ME REST ON HIS BED.
By jpgeneroso
I'd like to share a memorable experience when I did a one-on-one personal interview with BongBong Marcos way back in 2019.
BBM was in Negros attending an event and he stayed in one of the hotels in the city. As an investigative reporter that time, I went to the event and asked BBM if I could have a one on one exclusive interview with him.
Since the place was crowded and noisy, he brought me upstairs into his room. The chairs have bags on them, so he told me to sit on his bed instead.
With him on the other side, we started the interview. After a while, his phone rang and he answered it. After a couple of minutes, BBM said: "I am sorry I really need to go downstairs to meet a friend but you can stay here, watch TV and take a rest." "I'll be back shortly and we'll finish the talk," he added.
So I comfortably lay on my back in that soft bed, watch the TV, and waited for him.
On that moment, I realized how could a man so powerful, accused of being a tyrant like his dad was, made me lie on his bed like a good old friend. I REALLY WONDER IF NOYNOY AQUINO WOULD DO THE SAME FOR ME. I am a nobody. Just an insignificant provincial radio reporter but he treated me so well.
After more than half an hour or so, he went back and finish what we've started. Before we bid our goodbyes, we took this picture.
Mind you, he didn't offer any money. A SIGN OF RESPECT TO US, INCORRUPTIBLE JOURNALISTS.
It isn't about politics and his candidacy. If you vote for him or not, that's yours to keep. I want to give justice to the guy whom they accused of being what he is not. He may be unkind to others, but that I didn't know. But for that one instance, I met a guy who changed the way I thought he was.
THAT'S THE BBM I KNEW. SIMPLE, KIND, HUMBLE, AND FULL OF WISDOM.
