A veteran lawyer and prominent suppporter of former Senator Bongbong Marcos lectured the controversial statement released earlier by former Associate Chief Justice Antonio Carpio regarding the tax evasion case of Marcos.
After the controversial Oxford University diploma issue failed, according to some netizens the Dilawans are showing their true color of desperation as they brought another issue, this time around a possible disqualification case against BBM due to the tax evasion case.
Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos is now on the situation that fits him with the popular Filipino saying that says "Pag ang puno ay hitik sa bunga, binabato."
The former Senator who is now considered as the frontrunner to be the next President of the Republic is being attacked left and right, front and center by supporters of his rivals, some presidential rivals even used an old as well as rehashed issues against the son of former President Ferdinand Marcos.
Due to the recent failures of the issues brought about by the Dilawans, the failed Oxford University special diploma controversy, here comes another issue raised by former Justice Carpio, which was immediately picked up by the Dilawans supporters particularly the mainstream media.
Justice Carpio claimed that BBM might be disqualified for failing to file income taxes from 1982-1985. However, the issues raised by Carpio was questioned by veteran lawyer, Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles.
Citing the Omnibus Election code, Atty. Angeles defended BBM and lectured Justice Carpio by arguing that an individual can only be disqualified for 5 years if he was convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.
