The more than three minutes video of the Bad Romance Challenge is one of the most popular in the Philippines today garnering more than 8.5 million views in just two days of posting on social media.
The Bad Romance Tiktok Challenge was accidentally started by a certain Tiktok user Grace Groski who uploaded a video of herself singing part of the chorus to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance.
The trend was dubbed as the "Bad Romance" Tiktok Challenge because of the audio it uses, from the hit song popularized by Vice Gand.
Tiktok user Groski started the challenge without knowing that she was the reasons why it became viral. In the video, Groski sings the same part of the chorus over and over, but each time she tried it in a higher not.
The original author of the Tiktok Challenge never thought it would go viral and be copied in the different parts of the world including the Philippines.
In Groski's version, her singing slowly gets higher and higher, it perfectly builds tension and sets the scene for a series of shocking twists and turns.
In the Philippines, the Bad Romance challenge features sisters, brothers, families and relatives joining hand in hand in following the trends.
Bad Romance is a song popularized by internationally-known superstar Lady Gaga from her third EP, The Fame Monster which was released during the year 2009.
