Veteran military man Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. willingly accepts Sen. Risa Hontiveros challenge as he stated that he will gladly answer any question from the senator next time and anywhere.
Sen. Risa Hontiveros made some headlines on mainstream media for defending Liza Soberano and speaking up for the alleged rights of the women who voiced their concerned against the government.
The senator warned Gen. Parlade by saying "Huwag mong gamitin ang kapangyahiran mo bilang heneral upang takutin at pagbantaaan ang kababaihang ito. Your threats and harassment are unacceptable. By silencing them, pinapalampas mo ang karahassan, panggagahasa at pangaabuso na nararanasan ng napakaraming Pilipino. This is ungentlemanly and a scheme to your rank and to the PMA."
Gen. Parlade responded by saying that he was meek during their first meeting because there is nothing to fight about.
The head of the task force against communist insurgency using their legal fronts reminded Sen. Hontiveros that one of the reasons why they split with Joma Sison's group was due to their non-violent struggle.
The general noted that Liza's Soberano's desire to defend women's rights, is also shared by the Armed Forces, but they differ in the way Gabriela exploits these genuine advocates, because the CPP's underground MAKIBAKA, is the one stirring and orchestrating it.

I was meek because there is nothing to fight about. Everyone in the Commission on Appointments was civil, and I responded accordingly. And just like you, I'm paid from people's taxes so please let me do my job of protecting innocent victims of CPP exploitation.
Maybe the good senator is forgetting why the Akbayan and the Rejectionists split from the Reaffirmists of JOMA. It's because the RJ wanted a different track of non-violent struggle.
Liza Soberano's desire to defend women's rights, is also shared by the senator and many in the Armed Forces. But we differ in the way Gabriela exploits these genuine advocates, because the CPP's underground MAKIBAKA, is the one stirring and orchestrating it.
It's the government's JOB to expose this DUPLICITOUS nature of the CPP, even if you disagree because of your POLITICAL affiliations.
This CPP monster knows no friend. They will feed you to the lion's den if you are not careful. This is what happened to Jo Lapira, Ren Manalo, Camille Manangan etc, Gabriela Youth who were all killed for ceasing to be a plain activist and ended up being with the terrorist.
By the way Madam Senator, the Family of Ms. Soberano through their legal adviser, sent me a personal letter to thank me for the information I shared and helping defend Liza from her bashers.
So DID I Redtag Liza? No, I DID MY JOB to PROTECT her, as I will do with any one who will be unduly harassed by netizens, ESPECIALLY if it comes from netizens who DON'T UNDERSTAND much about the dynamics and nature of the CPP revolutionary DUAL tactics.
These netizens are as CONFUSED on who is red and who is not, PRECISELY because of 52 years of gov't vacillation on this issue about whether the CPP and its fronts are legal or not.
Well, the ATL is there and that probably scares these terrorist supporters the most.
So women and men, let's all shout to defend women's rights but never with these CPP stooges hiding in Gabriela.
