Vivian Velez Compares VP Leni to Miss Tapia Dubbed VP's Look as "Worst Political Branding"

Former actress and prominent supporter of Pres. Rody Duterte on social media, Vivian Velez criticized the Vice President on her latest address to the nation particularly the look of the second highest official in the country.

The actress even compared the Vice President to a certain Miss Tapia and commented that the address of the Vice President was obviously fake, as they want to make her look smarter with those glasses and books on the table.

"The worst political branding... it's so fake," Velez said.

"Obviously, they want to make her look smarter (kasi nga boba) with those glasses on and books on the table, not to mention the color choice of her outfit. Ano 'to, shooting? Playing 'the president' daw sya?" she added.

The veteran actress who worked with the Film Academy of the Philippines as director-general liked VP Leni Robredo to Mely Tagasa's Miss Tapia character in "Iskul Bukol."

"Miss Tapia ang peg haha (Iskul Bukol)...Mely Tagasa aka Miss Tapia is a writer in real life, much smarter than the 'president wanna be' Lugaw," she said.

Vice President Leni Robredo addressed the nation with regards to the recent situation in the country but mostly blames the Duterte administration for their alleged failures in handling the COVID-19 cases in the country.

Most netizens criticized the national address of the Vice President because most of her suggestions already existed while some of them are considered as a work in progress.
