"And immediately by noontime I got a call from my superior tungkol sa aking trabaho as a reporter for ABS-CBN, mga ginagawang field work for Lingkod Kapamilya, ‘yun ‘yung aking field work na ginagawa na assignment.  And I was told that I was retrenched.

“Masakit din, but this isn’t the first time that this happened to me that I was enjoying the morning and then pagdating ng hapon medyo not so good news.

“So, that’s my first take away but when I spoke with my best friend, tinanong niya sa akin, ‘oh kumusta ka?’ sabi ko, ‘okay naman.’  This is something that we expected to happen because of our situation in ABS-CBN.

“Everyday, good things and bad things happens throughout and it’s up to us what we what to hold on to and what we want to stay with us if you want to choose to remember the bad stuff or the good stuff and today I remain grateful.  I remain grateful.

“Thank you, thank you for my many years as field reporter and I am a changed person because of my field work and I know that every moment I had as a field reporter wala akong inaksayang panahon.

“And now I am also grateful because officially I am a songwriter it all happened today, so I hoped you choose the positive that happened today to remember each day and remember to be grateful, Bnamnam.”
