Must Watch: Maria Ressa's Alleged Lies Exposed During BBC Interview with Stephen Sackur

Maria Ressa made some international headlines anew after her exclusive interview with the popular BBC show, HardTalk hosted by Stephen Sackur but according to some DDS netizens, the interview exposed the alleged lies of the controversial Rappler CEO.


One of Maria Ressa's critics even stated that the journalist allegedly showed her arrogance during her interview with Stephen Sackur.



During the interview, the veteran journalist and TV presenter Stephen Sackur did manage to ask some hard questions against Maria Ressa but the Rappler CEO simply tried to dodge. Ressa did not answer the questions presented by Sackur.

The Rappler CEO kept insisting that Pres. Rody Duterte's popularity is a product of propaganda and just kept on talking and insisted that "democracy is dead" in the Philippines.

The BBC interviewer could hardly had a chance to talk, as he had difficulty getting a word in because Maria Ressa hogged the microphone and seems to control the entire conversation.

Stephen Sackur even pointed out that it doesn't look like freedom of speech is suffering in the Philippines because the proof are visible, and there seems to a be a healthy debate in the country, but Ressa refused to concede.



Maria Ressa alleged lies were simply visible according to some netizens as she simply exaggerated that threats she receives and Ressa sounded like a sociopath with her lying.

The CEO of Rappler who was recently convicted by cyber libel case filed by a private individual, claimed that Pres. Duterte's popularity is not real. She believes it is base don fear and intimidation as she even thinks Facebook killed democracy in the country and has become a "behavior modification system."
