Watch: Pinay Caregiver Linn Silawan Face Possible Deportation for Spreading Hate Videos Against Duterte

Controversial Pinay caregiver from Taiwan who is now identified as "Linn Silawan" and "Hampas Lupa" on social media might face a possible deportation because of her statements against Pres. Rody Duterte and for spreading hate videos against the chief executive.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) asks the government of Taiwan to deport the Filipina caregiver and anti-Duterte blogger, who made a name for herself not because of helping her fellow OFWs but in allegedly spreading fake news on social media.

During the past few weeks, Linn Silawan raised the eyebrows of the supporters of the President because of her messages against the national government. She slammed Pres. Duterte for his friendlines towards China.

Some videos of Silawan even reached more than a million views on social media and she made some following among the Anti-Duterte netizens who keeps on finding faults in the efforts of the government against COVID-19.

According to the latest statement by the DOLE, they already asked Taiwan to deport Elanel Egot Oridor, the real name of the Filipina caregiver working in Yunlin, Taiwan. They asked the Taiwanese government to deport Oridor as she committed cyber libel against the President.

DOLE also noted that Elanel Oridor might be punished in Taiwan and in the Philippines for her alleged wrongdoings. They said that while Oridor was cooperative at first, they discovered that the caregiver was allegedly trying to gather support on social media.

Ordidor was cooperative and cordial at first and committed to delete all her uploaded videos against the President and promised not to do it again. She also promised to upload a video of her public apology to the President and to the people in the government at 9 pm of the same day,” the DOLE statement read.

“However, hours after the visit, several posts were seen on the POLO Taichung’ Facebook page from several fake accounts assuring Ms. Ordidor’s cause and further giving her assurance of support,” they added.

POLO Taichung/International Labor Affairs Bureau said that they’re already informed the employer of Ordidor about the illegal acts she committed under Republic Act No. 10175.
