Thinking Pinoy Burns Justice Carpio's Messed Up Logic on Ph-China Loan Agreement

Veteran blogger and prominent social media personality with more than a million followers, Thinking Pinoy burned down incumbent Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio for his alleged messed up logic on Philippine-China Loan Agreement.

According to Thinking Pinoy, Justice Carpio who is citing the phrase "patrimonial asset" in the Philippines-China Loan agreement, the Associate Justice claims China can seize Reed Bank in the Spratlys if PH defaults on its China loans.

But then, China signing to a loan agreement where "patrimonial asset" includes Reed Bank would be a de facto Chinese admission of Filipino sovereign rights over Reed Bank, something that China will never concede to.

Thinking Pinoy explained that Justice Carpio's line of reasoning implies China recognizes Reed Bank as part of the Philippine EEZ, which isn't the case. He challenged Carpio to explain how China seize from us something that they believe doesn't belong to us in the first place.

Justice Carpio, please explain to me, how can China seize from us something that they believe doesn't belong to us in the first place?

Justice Carpio, do you mean China is willing to give up its claims on Reed Bank so we can use Reed Bank as loan collateral?

Justice Carpio, I am pretty sure China isn't as desperate as you are.
