Former Senator and Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano made an intriguing expose during an exclusive interview with Carlos Munda, the blogger behind MindaVote, for the alleged betrayal of Sen. Koko Pimentel.
According to Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano's revelations during the time when Sen. Koko Pimentel became the President of the Senate, he disagreed with his decision to give Sen. Lilia De Lima the chairmanship of the powerful Committee on Justice in the Philippine Senate.
Carlos Munda asked about the reasons why Sen. Cayetano did not become the Senate President despite his plan to become one due to his failure to win as Vice President.
The veteran blogger revealed that Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano had their own purpose and strategy to get the Presidency of the Senate but due to some circumstances, the plan did not succeed.
Carlos Munda asked Sen. Cayetano that "You are looking at the Senate Presidency, you were actively doing for the Senate presidency at that time, pero minalas at napunta kay Koko Pimentel."
Sen. Cayetano stated during the interview that she will never allow De Lima to head the Senate Committee on Justice unlike the gestures of Sen. Koko Pimentel who accommodated even the fiercest critics of Pres. Duterte.
