Former PCOO Asec and first nominee of AA Kasosyo Partylist group, Mocha Uson lectured one of the country's most prominent actress and TV host Anne Curtis for her malicious statement and reactions on important issues particularly the controversial lowering the age of criminal liability bill.
Anne Curtis made headlines on national media after she was asked about her reactions on the bill about lowering the age of criminal liability to just nine years old.
Anne Curtis was quoted as saying "Nakakalungkot isipin na ibaba ang criminal responsibility to the age of 9. At that age, they are still very much children. They still have a chance to change their ways if they happen to cause or get into any trouble of being sent to jail & sentenced as an adult." Curtis stated.
The statement of Anne Curtis reached Mocha Uson as she lectured the veteran actress about the real truth about the controversial bill.
According to Mocha Uson, the actress Anne Curtis should read first the provision of the bill, there's indeed a lot of wrong information she received. It is not 9 years old but it is 12 years old and they will not be thrown to jail but they will be taken care of at any reformative institution.
Mocha Uson was quoted as saying "Mam pakibasa po muna yung provision hindi po react ng react. Mali mali po kasi. Hindi po 9yrs old, 12 na po. Hindi rin po sa jail dadalhin, sa reformative institution dadalhin ang bata. Lastly, iba po ang treatment sa kanila hindi tulad sa adult. Read before you react mam. Salamat po." Uson stated.
