Mayor Sara Duterte's Tapang at Malasakit Gets P150-Million China Education Aid (Photos)

The Chinese government through the Chinese Embassy in the Philippined donated at least P150-Million to Mayor Sara Duterte's local political party, Tapang at Malasakit Alliance for the Construction of 13 School Buildings in different parts of Davao City.



According to Mayor Sara Duterte, the presidential daughter and local chief executive of Davao City, stated that the Tapang at Malasakit Alliance serves as a channel between Chinese Embassy and the Department of Education (DepEd) Davao City in bringing a brighter future to the children of Davao through education.



Mayor Inday Sara Z. Duterte, the lead conveyor of Tapang at Malasakit Alliance, said in a speech that Davao City has always been grateful to China, through Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines H.E Zhao Jinhua, for the generosity it has shown to the city.

“This ceremonial groundbreaking is a testimony of (the) shared commitment of various stakeholders, who prioritized the education of our youth,” Mayor Inday said.

Mayor Sara Duterte reminded the benificiaries of the school buildngs to take care of the facilities, so that the next generation could still use it, the projects which is part of the generous donations from the Chinese government.



The P150 million donation came from the funds of the People’s Republic of China Embassy in the Philippines.



In a statement, Zhao said that the People’s Republic of China is very happy to extend a little donation to Davao City after it saw how the city values education.

“Education is the key to the betterment of young people, if we lead them with (to) better education, they will be more qualified to ensure that they will have a better personal lives; and the nation and the people’s future is going to be brighter,” he said.

The 13 schools benefiting from China's generosity are Agdao Elementary School; Acacia Elementary School; Mudiang Elementary School; San Miguel Elementary School; Mabuhay National High School; Baguio Central Elementary School; Cadalian Elementary School; Malalan Elementary School; Upper Sirib Elementary School; Ula Elementary School; Wines High SChool - Ampon Campus; Marilog National High School; and Salaysay National High School.
