According to the statement of the family of former lawyer, Olympian and Senator Ambrosio Padilla, for the record, Arnold Padilla is not a direct grandson of Ambrosio Padilla, although he is a part of the wider Padilla clan.
The late Ambrosio Padilla is a well-known lawyer, law professor, author, Olympian, senator and family man-was most known most of all for being that rare man of high moral character in private life and prublic office.
On their official statement released on social media through Francis Javelona, the Padilla family noted that Arnold Padilla must eventually be judged on the basis of his choices and actions, according to the rule of law. His actions are his own responsibility and are not sanctioned, protected, or encouraged by the family of Ambrosio Padilla.

Arnold Padilla has been in the news for abusing a law enforcer and for many other notorious acts. There have been reports in the media identifying him as the grandson of the late Ambrosio Padilla.
For the record, Arnold Padilla is not a direct grandson of Ambrosio Padilla, although he is a part of the wider Padilla clan.
Ambrosio Padilla - lawyer, law professor, author, Olympian, senator, and family man - was known most of all for being that rare man of high moral character in private life and in public office. He had a passion for justice, a deep love of truth, and an abiding belief in personal responsibility.
