SAP Bong Go Ranks Number 1 in UM-IPO Senatorial Survey Results

Special Assistant to the President, SAP Bong who is known in the social media sphere as the "Pambansang Selfie ng Pilipinas," ranked No. 1 in the latest Senatorial Survey results conducted by the University of Mindanao's Institute of Popular Opinion (UM-IPO) leading all senatorial candidates nationwide.


Based upon the results released by UM-IPO on Saturday, SAP Bong Go received at least 76 percent of Davao City residents would vote for Bong Go in the senatorial race.

SAP Bong Go who earlier took his oath as a member of the newly-formed "Hugpong ng Pagbabago" regional and national political coalition, thanked his fellow Davaoeños for placing him in the top spot in a survey for the mid-term elections in 2019.



In an interview with the media, SAP Bong Go was quoted as saying "Malayo pa (ang 2019), pero thank you sa mga Davaoeño sa pagtitiwala ninyo sa amin, sa akin. Mas nakakataba ng puso. Lalo po kami magsisikap sa aming trabaho (Though the 2019 election is still a long way off, I thank the Davaoeños for their trust in us, in me. It warms my heart. This inspires us to work harder),” Go said in an interview.

When the most trusted aid of Pres. Duterte was asked about his possibility of running for a national position, SAP Bong Go responded by saying "50-50." He reiterated that although he has no plans of running, only the President can change his mind.

Aside from SAP Bong Go, also topping the senatorial survey include former PNP Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, who ranked second followed by Sen. Grace Poe, Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano, Sen. Sonny Angra, and Sen. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III.

COMELEC records shows that the Davao Region, of which Davao City is part, has a voting population of 4.9 million registered voters.
