Veteran journalist and prominent political analyst Jojo Robles exposed the real person behind Sen. Franklin Drilon the lawmaker who stated earlier that Chief Justice De Castro should inhibit herself from politically-charged cases.
According to Jojo Robles, he is exposing Sen. Franklin Drilon, a top honcho of the Liberal Party whose cousin, former Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog was involved in the alleged illegal drug trade, is a different kind of political animal.
Robles noted that "If pigs could fly, Drilon would be the fastest aviator of them all." Robles revealed.
Based upon the first-hand knowledge of Jojo Robles, in the morning of the Hyatt 10 caper, not so long ago, Drilon was in Malacanang helping to strategize counter-measures with former Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. During that particular time, the Palace had already heard about the mass Cabinet resignations and was evaluating options and counting loyalist heads.
Despite Sen. Drilon's presence in the camp of Pres. Arroyo, upon the mass quittings in the early after, Sen. Drilon changed side as he was already with the Hyatt 10ers, whom he presumably briefed about Gloria's plans that he had heard earlier, when he was still GMA's trusted ally and Senate President.
