Veteran TV Host and political analyst Jay Sonza, a well-known supporter of Pres. Rody Duterte, criticized the administration and his men for the controversial "High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Scheme) of the MMDA, PNP, HPG and DOTr which will be implemented along EDSA.
The said HOV scheme also known as "Bawal Ang Single Sa EDSA" is a complete failure according to Jay Sonza because the entire Metro Manila is now a parking lot due to the controversial scheme.
The said MMDA policy dubbed "HOV Scheme" will be in effect from Monday to Friday and all violators will be fined with P1,000. The new rulings started its dry run today, August 15, 2018 and will run until August 22, 2018. Per the memo, full implementation will begin Wednesday next week, the 23rd of August.
Due to the said policy of the MMDA along EDSA, Jay Sonza revealed that the entire Metro Manila is now a parking lot and is considered by many motorists as a complete failure.
Jay Sonza also narrated his experience by saying that his usual 45min-1hr drive to work via C5 has become a 2 1/2 hours today. Due to his experience he concluded that hte HOV Scheme in EDSA is indeed a Failure. Although the traffic scheme cleared EDSA but elsewhere is a parking lot.
Jay Sonza was quoted as saying "I don’t care what my Duterte apologist family and friends say. The scheme was STUPID." Sonza stated.

My usual 45min-1hr drive to work via C5 has become 2 1/2 hours today. So that #HOV scheme in EDSA is a FAIL! It cleared EDSA but elsewhere is a parking lot.
I don’t care what my Duterte apologist family and friends say. The scheme was STUPID.
Don’t start with me about SACRIFICE for common good. I supported Duterte. I accepted the no window hours for coding. I embraced the new tax scheme even if it meant I pay significantly more taxes. I forgave some of the cheap gimickry that some people in Duterte’s Cabinet did. But this might be the straw that will break this camel’s back
So much burden for the honest hardworking middle class folks who won’t be exempted from the new tax measure, will pay more for fuel, who live/work in opposite sides of the metro, and can’t afford to hire drivers or buy weekday condos in Makati or BGC. We turn the wheels of this country’s economy.
Lahat Nang na ban nila Sa EDSA - trucks, buses, now single occupancy vehicles take C5, and C5 was not built for that volume of cars. Tapos may govt officials with police escorts pa na magwangwang to get ahead of everyone! No way! My time is important too!
