Ateneo Alumnus Urges Bishop Villegas to Asked Apology to Pres. Duterte For False Allegations

Ateneo Alumnus Francis Abraham urged one of the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church, Bispop Villegas who criticized the administration of Pres. Rody Duterte to apologized to the President after his accusations against the President was proven false.

For the past few weeks, the Catholic Church has been forcing the President to apologize to the Catholic Church, but the alumnus believes it the other way around, after the real culprit admitted into the killing of Father Richmond Nilo.

Father Richmond Nilo was shot dead by an unidentified hitman, the Catholics released a strongly worded statement against the killings on churchmen.

The allegations implicating the President was made by Catholic Church leaders after the death of Father Richmond Nilo. Before that, there were two other priests that were killed by unidentified assailants namely Fr. Mark Ventura in Gattaran of Cagayan on April 29 and Fr. Marcelito Paez from Jaen, Nueva Ecija on December 4.

Here's Some Part of the Statement Released by Catholic Church:

"They are killing our flock. They are killing us shepherds. They are killing our faith. They are cursing our Church. They are killing god again as they did in Calvary."

The statement even asked Pres. Duterte to "stop the verbal persecution of the Catholic Church because such attacks can wittingly embolden more crimes against priests." The statemet is indeed no doubt linking the killings of the priests to the government.

Last July 2, 2018, finally the truth was revealed, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that the mastermind in the killing of Father Nilo did so because of a sour ending to a sexual abuse incident that happened inside the Church. The incident clearly showed that the government has nothing to do with it.

Due to the revelations made by the PNP and the results of the investigations involving the alleged killing of Father Nilo, Ateneo Alumnus Francis Abraham called the attentions of the leadership of the Catholic Church to apologize to the President for implicating him in the said incident.

Here's the Complete Statement of Ateneo Alumnus Francis Abraham:

Ayan Bishop Socrates B Villegas, nahuli na ang killer ni Fr Nilo. Uncle ng seminarista nyong nagmomolestya ng mga sakristan ni Fr. Nilo ang nagpakuha ng mga hitman.

Meron pa kayong "They are killing our flock. They are killing us shepherds. They are killing our faith. They are cursing our Church. They are killing God again as they did in Calvary." You even asked Duterte to "stop the verbal persecution of the Catholic Church because such attacks can wittingly embolden more crimes against priests."

Well Bishop, surprise! The death of Fr Nilo was not due to an emboldened criminal. The death of Fr. Nilo was due to a war he waged against a child molester within your own Church.

So Bishop Soc, since you were so affected by Fr. Nilo's death, why not honor him by carrying the cudgels and declaring war against sexual offenders within the catholic church.

Nag sorry na po ba kayo on behalf of the Church?

I suggest mag sorry na kayo, kesa kayo ang nagdedemand na mag sorry si Duterte sa inyo. Set a good example. Pakita nyo ang humility nyo so the president can also be "emboldened" to say sorry.
