Netizens Reacts on Sen. Kiko Pangilinan's Statement that Sereno's Fight is Not Yet Over

Netizens took to social media and lambasted Sen. Kiko Pangilinan for his latest statement that says the fight of ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno is not yet over despite the fact that the Supreme Court decided to oust Sereno as SC noted that the decision is final and executory.

According to Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, the President of the Opposition Liberal Party, he is now asking for the public to thinkg about what they can to prevent the fundamental principle of justice from being trampled.

In a press statement, Sen. Pangilinan was quoted as saying "The fight is not yet over, the fight isn't simply confined in the ring. It's in our homes, schools, churches, farms, offices and factories. We need to ask ourselves what we can do as ordinary citizens who cannot allow our fundamental principle of justice to be trampled," Pangilinan stated.

The statement released by Sen. Kiko defending the ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno did not sit well among most of the netizens who shared their reactions on social media regarding the statement of Pangilinan.

According to the sister of the late Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, international lawyer, Atty. Paula Defensor-Knack, if they want to impeach the justices who voted in favor of the ouster of CJ Sereno, the President will just appoint new ones.

Concerned netizen Cesar Medina Casto also noted that Sen. Kiko should focus on more pressing matters that affect majority of Filipinos, he should be fighting for such topics such as the Dengvaxia victims, SAF 44, Hacienda Luisita massacre and other incidents that were allegedly perpetrated by LP's leaders and partners on graft and corruption.

Here's Some of the Most Popular Comments Against Sen. Kiko on Social Media:

Cesar Medina Castro: Kiko, there are more pressing matters that affect majority of Filipinos that you should be fighting for such as dengvaxia victims, SAF 44, Hacienda Luisita massacre and other incidents that were perpetrated by your party's leaders/partners on graft and corruption. Bakit ka naging pipi sa mga isyong yan?

Reyon Camarillo: It is crazy how, even when this guy got his debate with ping, HAD to admit himself how the law was working AND is STILL being ignorant to the PEOPLE AND the LAW.

LP is like a Mafia trying to regain control. They know the laws, does not enforce it when it is their own, then bends it to their will once caught redhanded. Scary to think of.

Palmero Rica: Ask what you can do when you are already out of the Senate as a private citizen. Maybe you should go back to school and learn the following 1. how to respect the rule of the majority, 2. How to make laws that will benefit the people and not the criminals, 3. How to be a notary public.
