Journalist Jun Avelino Burns Congressman Alejano For Hitting Pres. Duterte's Alleged Secret Diplomacy with China
Dubai-based international relations expert and prominent journalist Jun Avelino burned down Magdalo lawmaker Rep. Gary Alejano after he hits the Philippines alleged secret diplomacy with China over Maritime dispute in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
According to Jun Avelino, Rep. Gary Alejano is a stupid congressman because if he is really true to his position on the issue, why doesn't he first berate his Magdalo colleague, Senator Antonio Trillanes, who was sent to Chine 16 times by former Pres. Noynoy Aquino for back channels talks with Chinese authorities in relation to West Philippine Sea, particularly the Scarborough Shoal Issue in 2013.
The native resident from the Province of Davao Occidental who cam from a Manobo and Tagakaolo tribe, revealed also that, until now, Sen. Trillanes never and continued to refuse in disclosing in public what transpired in those negotiations.
Jun Avelino suggsted also to Alejano that before he opens his mouth about diplomacy he should ask Trillanes first to disclose the worms of scandals and diplomatic blunders he committed in that infamous China back channel talks wich cost the Philippines the Scarborough Shoal.
Here's the Complete Statement of Jun Avelino:
Stupid Congressman!
If he is really true to his position on the issue, why doesn’t he first berate his Magdalo colleague, Senator Trillanes, who was sent to China 16 times by PNoy for back channel talks with Chinese authorities in relation to West Philippine Sea, particularly the Scarborough Shoal Issue in 2013? Until now, Trillanes never and continued to refuse in disclosing in public what transpired in those negotiations. You want diplomacy to be opened? Then go f*ck Trillanes first! He should realize that the obvious result of Trillanes back channel negotiations is the fact that our own 2 frigate vessels guarding the Scarborough Shoal withdrew from the area, an act which surrendered the Shoal to China that was under the Philippine control then prior to the 2013 stand-off and the intervention of Trillanes.
Perhaps, before Alejano opens his mouth about diplomacy to be opened, he should ask Trillanes first to disclose the worms of scandals and diplomatic blunders he committed in that infamous China back channel talks which cost us our Scarborough Shoal. Was it a sell off? The public should know, Mr. Alejano. Now if you cannot address this issue, what gave you the moral ascendancy to criticize the present government for pursing diplomatic negotiations sans any grandstanding?
Mr, Alejano, diplomatic negotiations cannot be compared to congressional hearings. It involves relations with other countries and there are protocols being followed when governments talk. You do not know that because you are not a diplomat. You are mema lang because you are running for Senator, hence, the grandstanding to gain media mileage!
Just to remind you that your job in Congress is to legislate laws. The task of pursuing our foreign policy direction is lodged mainly in the Executive Department with the President being our Chief Diplomat. The President decides on the kind of foreign policy direction he wants to chart for the country in accordance with our constitution and the only involvement of Congress happens when the Senate will be required to concur on Treaties or International Agreements the administration may want to forge with other countries. Now, if you want to lift your finger on the foreign policy job, then run for President and make sure, you will win. Only then you can chart our foreign policy the way you want and the kind of diplomatic negotiations you want to pursue even with China. But for being a lowly Congressman and due to become private citizen in 2019, I am sorry, you will just lose whatever hair left on your empty head but the fact remains, you have no business in our country’s foreign policy direction. And your act of disclosing vital information related to on-going diplomatic negotiations with China is tantamount to sabotaging such negotiations for which you should be made to answer.
Stop the grandstanding, dude. I assure you, you will never win in 2019 elections to replace Trillanes. We cannot afford to commit the same mistake again of having in the Senate one that besmirched its reputation big time. NEVER AGAIN! - JA
