Former ambassador and veteran journalist Rigoberto "Bobi" Tiglao lectures acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio and Vice President Leni Robredo for their comments regarding the controversial landing of Chinese bomber on Woody island in the Paracels.
According to Bobi Tiglao Justice Carpio and VP Leni Robredo should look at the map first before they open their mouths in criticizing Pres. Duterte and the Philippines for non-action on the alleged landing of Chinese bomber in South China Sea.
Tiglao lambasts Justice Carpio who stated earlier that "Any self-respecting sovereign state will immediately formally protest such encroachment on its sovereignty and sovereign rights. The Philippines must do no less." The statement of Carpio is contrary to the fact that the Chinese vessels did not land within Philippine territory.
The veteran columnist explained that the Paracels are claimed only by China and Vietnam not the Philippines as what Carpio and Robredo had thought. Tiglao also lectured Carpio by saying that Vietnam didn't file any protest against China as what Carpio suggested to the Philippine government.
Bobi Tiglao also lambasted VP Leni Robredo who claimed that Woody Island is ours as she issued a statement that the landing and take-off exercises of China in the West Philippine Sea using their long range bombers is alarming.
Here's the Complete Statement of Bobi Tiglao:
CARPIO AND ROBREDO SHOULD LOOK AT THE MAP FIRST BEFORE THEY OPEN THEIR MOUTHS
Carpio on the landing of a Chinese bomber on Woody island in the Paracels:
"Any self-respecting sovereign state will immediately formally protest such encroachment on its sovereignty and sovereign rights. The Philippines must do no less."
The Paracels are claimed only by China and Vietnam, and we don't. China in 1974 occupied it, after defeating a force of Vietnamese, resulting in 54 Vietnamese soldiers and navymen killed.
Did Vietnam file a diplomatic protest against the Chinese landing of a bomber in Woody Island? Its foreign ministry spokesman expressed serious concerns and said it raised tensions in the area. BUT IT DID NOT FILE A DIPLOMATIC PROTEST.
Vice President Robredo even claimed Woody island is ours, and issued a statement: "The news about the landing of the Chinese bombers on our islands is extremely worrisome. Aside from this, the landing and take-off exercises of China in the West Philippine Sea using their long-range bombers is alarming."
Nampucha oo kung sinunod pala ni Duterte itong Supreme Court justice na ito at si Robredo e pinasubo tayo, at katawa- tawa sa buong mundo. Pa self-respecting self-respecting pa daw.
