Netizens Lambasts Sen. Risa Hontiveros for Criticizing Pres. Duterte's Actions in Kuwait Rescue Fiasco

Netizens took to social media as and lambasted the administration of Pres. Rody Duterte for the government's measures on how to solved the controversial Kuwait Rescue fiasco that blew out of proportion after the OFW rescue video went viral on social media.

According to Sen. Risa Hontiveros, she now fears the possible retaliations to OFWs after the failed rescue of some distressed Filipinos in Kuwait. Sen. Hontiveros stated that the Philippines could find it hard to respond to any untoward incidents in Kuwait.

The senator who is considered as one of the most vocal critic of Pres. Duterte stated that the government will now find it hard to monitor the OFWs in Kuwait after the government decided to expel the Philippine Ambassador, and the reported incarceration of four embassy staff, as well as the on-going operation of arresting the three other Filipino Diplomats.

Pres. Rody Duterte urged OFWs who wanted to returned to the Philippines to please come home because the government will do its best to help them.

The President was quoted as saying "For Filipino professionals who may wish to stay in Kuwait, there's no problem. But at the same time, I would like the to cherish and nurture their patriotism... For Filipino household service workers, if your Kuwaiti employers want you to leave, then please come home. Your government will do its best to help you return." Pres. Duterte said.

The statement of Sen. Risa Hontiveros during some media interviews in the Philippines did not sit well among the supporters of Pres. Rody Duterte on social media as they lambasted the senator for joining the bandwagon of alleged "Kupal" public officials.
