Philippines Under Pres. Duterte Ranked No. 1 as the Best Countries to Invest in 2018

The Philippines made headlines in the international media under the leadership of Pres. Rody Duterte, this time for positive news as Business Insider reported that a World Bank Group identified the Philippines as the Best Country to Invest in 2018.


Based upon the report from the World Bank Group, U.S. News identified the Philippines as the No. 1 country in the world to invest in for 2018. The Philippines topped the list of the 2018 Best Countries Ranking on where to Invest.

According to the U.S. News, they surveyed over 21,000 people worldwide about 80 different countries, measuring them on 65 different attributes, including cultural influence, entrepreneurship, and quality of life.



U.S. News focused on just eight of the 65 attributes for the best countries to invest in ranking. The eight attributes includes: Entrepreneurship, Economic Stability, Favorable Tax Environment, Innovation, Skilled Labor, Technological Expertise, Dynamism and Corruption.

Business Insider noted that the responses from over 6,000 survey participants - who act as decision makers in business around the globe - where then used to determine the ranking.
