NAIA Made it to the List of the Top 10 "Most Improved Airports" in the World for 2018

The Philippines main international gateway to the world, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport made it to the elite list of the Top 10 Most Improved Airports in the World for the Year 2018 according to world-renowned Skytrax.



Under the administration of Pres. Rody Duterte, NAIA made some major accomplishments in terms of world rankings, from being named as the Worst Airport in the World during the Aquino admin to the World's Most Improved Airport in the present admin of Pres. Duterte.

The Top 10 Most Improved Airports in the World Ranking was based on the rankings released by world renowned Skytrax. NAIA ranks at No. 10 Most Improved Airport in the World for 2018.



Aside from NAIA as the world's most improved airport, also included in the elite list are Rome's Fiucimino Airport, Perth Airport in Australia, Calgary Airport of Canada, Taiwan's Taoyuan Airport, Athens Airport in Greece, Nadi Airport of Fiji Island, Montreal Airport in Canada, Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport of Russia and the Houston Intercontinental Airport in the United States of America.

The list of the 10 Most Improved Airport in the World for the Year 2018 was based on the reported good quality and development in the performance of each international airports from around the world.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) under the leadership of Secretary Arthur Tugade welcomed the latest development and delighted with the results of the Duterte admin's efforts to improved the quality of service of the country's main gateway.



From being named as the World's Worst International Airports according to some online surveys, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport is now included in the "Most Improved Airports in the World" List.

The DOTr noted that the inclusion of NAIA in the elite list of Most Improved Airport takes into account the change in rating together w/ performance changes across the different product and service categories in the awards.

The award is "based on the relative year-on-year Quality performance by all airports featured in the World Airport Survey, and takes into account the change in rating together with performance changes across the different product and service categories in the awards," said Skytrax.
