DLSU Professor's Brilliant Suggestions on How to Stop Fake News from Spreading

A concerned netizen and university professor of De La Salle University, Prof. Van Ybiernas revealed the reasons why there should never have been a hearing on Fake News conducted by the Philippine Senate. He also suggested a brilliant strategy on how to stop the proliferation of fake news on social media.

According to Prof. Ybiernas, there should be a clear definition of fake news because it was already a problem way back so many years. If the senators would explain that the hearing is due to the fact that fake news defames someone's reputation so they must hold on with the truth to prevail against fake news.

Ybiernas also added that maybe the senators could not win against fake news is due to the fact that their respective staffs were timid enough to find the truth or there's a possibility that some of the fake news against them were indeed true.

The La Salle Professor commented that the reactions of the senators about fake news is indeed OA (overacting). Aside from criticizing our lawmakers about the hearing on fake news, Ybiernas suggested that the hearing should prioritize on how to reveal the bots who spreads fake likes and shares on social media and not only on the fake news itself.

Here's the Complete Statement of Prof. Van Ybiernas:

There should NEVER have been a hearing on fake news to begin with.

Pota! What is fake news?
E di tsismis o inimbentong kwento o sabi-sabi na ikinakalat...
Di naman ngayon lang problema yan. Problema na yan nina Aling Ason kina Manang Belen at Nanay Claring noong unang panahon pang naglalaba sila gamit ang malaking tansan sa batis!

E nakakasira ng reputasyon ang fake news!
Talaga?

Aksaya kayo ng oras at pera ng taumbayan.

Mga ulol!
