100,000 Negev NG-7 Light Machine Guns Made in Israel to be Used by the PNP on War Against Terrorism

The Philippine National Police (PNP) will be using one of the most sophiscated machine guns and considered as the world's lightest weapons on its category to fight against terrorism. An estimated 100,000 units of Israeli made machine guns were delivered to the PNP according to an exclusive report by PTV News anchor Erwin Tulfo.


Erwin Tulfo saw first hand the Negev NG-7 7.62x51mm Light Machine Gun made by the world famous Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) through their local authorized dealer R. Espineli Trading.

The Negev NG-7 is considered as the lightest machine gun on its class with at least 8 kilograms of weight. It has a barrel length of 508 mm (20 inch) and two operation modes; semi-automatic for accurate and fast controlled fire, and fully automatic for maximum firepower.

The PNP will start distributing the modern weaponry to its respective units particularly in Mindanao to fight extremism and terrorism in Southern Philippines.

According to Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) representative to the Philippines, they have two key words on how to use the Negev NG-7 Light Machine Gun, "simple and agressive." The weapons is so agressive but the maintenance is super simple, the IWI representative added.

The weapons which were brought by Espineli Trading in the Philippines has the most modern features in any weapons nowadays. IWI and Espeneli started training on how to use the Negev NG-7 that even women personnel of the PNP could used it easily.
