The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rody Duterte burned down Rappler's Pia Ranada in the most shameful during an exclusive interview after Rappler released an article about the alleged intervention of SAP Bong Go in the P15.5 billion deal to acquire Philippine warships.
Pia Ranada asked Pres. Duterte about the issue of SEC ruling on Rappler which is not an issue of press freedom but at the same time during the speech of the President commented that Rappler and Inquirer already go beyond what is allowed.

The Rapple reporter wanted to clarify the issue of press freedom and the attack on media on the President's speech. Pres. Duterte responded by giving an example on how rampant and biased Rappler on their reporting.
Pres. Duterte gave an example by providing the latest article published by Rappler that says "Bong Go intervenes in P15.5-B projects to acquire PH warships."
Pres. Duterte wanted Rappler to provide some evidences on their latest article about Bong Go. Ranada explained that they already got the side of SAP Bong Go but President Duterte wanted some clarifications about the headline published by Rappler.
The President even challenged Ranada to provide an evidence that SAP Bong Go intervene and he will immediately fire his special assistant.
The issue here is not press freedom, but the way your masters, the elite, the owner of Rappler and they are even not allowed to enter the mass media.
Pres. Duterte prankly stated to Pia Ranada that there's no technicality in the SEC issue, because the Constitution does not really allow Rappler, of which Ranada is a worker.
Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying "You are a Filipino who has allowed to abuse our country, and you are an active participant of that, yan ang mahirap, in the name of the holy grail of press freedom. Yan ang totoo talaga dyan, sumobra talaga kayo!"
