Pres. Rody Duterte made some interesting revelations during a press conference upon his arrival in the Philippines from his official state visit to India. The President revealed that Federalism was previously offered by former Pres. Cory Aquino to rebel leader Nur Misuari in Mindanao.
The revelations of Pres. Rody Duterte about the alleged offer of former Pres. Cory Aquino to Nur Misuari came out after some questions from the press asking the President on which to prioritize first the BBL or the Charter Change.

Pres. Duterte's statement about Aquino's inclination and offer of Federalism to Misuari is in contrast with the present political stance of the Liberal Party opposing Federalism, because history revealed that they were the first to offer the Federal Form of government to the rebels.
According to the revelations of Pres. Duterte, during Cory Aquino's time she promised MNLF Leader Nur Misuari the Federal System of government after Aquino went to Jolo to talk to Misuari.and this is what the Moros are looking for or they demand the current government to fulfilled their promise to the people of Mindanao.
Pres. Duterte also noted that the Moros are now threatening to wage a war against the government if the administration failed to fulfil its promise of giving them the Federal Form of government once promised by PNoy's mother, the late Cory Aquino.
Pres. Duterte urged the Moro people to give the government a chance because he don't want war against his fellow Filipino.
