Benguet to Receive P4.25-Billion in Infrastructure Projects Under Pres. Duterte

One of the far-flung province in Northern Luzon, the province of Benguet will receive a total of P4.25 billion worth of infrastructure projects sourced out by Rep. Ronald Cosalan. The allocated projects for the Province of Benguet in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways.



According to Rep. Cosalan, the DPWH will have the bulk of funding the repair, rehabilitation, upgrading and concreting of various national roads and bridges in the province of Benguet. The projects cost around P4.25 billion.

Rep. Cosalan added further that the P1-billion fund will be spread out in the different agencies for the upgrading of farm to market roads, construction of school buildings, improvement of agrarian reform communities and irrigation facilities, scholarship grants to poor but deserving students and the provision of basic health services and livelihood programs.

The lawmaker from Benguet added further that farmers from far flung areas of the province will directly benefit from the improvement of inter-municipal, inter-provincial and inter-regional connectively which reduces transportation cost of the agricultural produce.

During the year 2017, Benguet Province got more than P3.3 billion worth of various infrastructure projects implemented in different parts of the province by various agencies.

With the allocated budget for ARMM, all national roads and secondary national arterial roads will be paved resulting to better and more convenient travel around the province of the future, Benguet Province.
