Travelers from Bataan on their way to SM Mall of Asia Arena or vice versa will now benefit the newly inaugurated air-conditioned Fast Ferry Boat Service via Manila Bay. The initiative was undertaken by private companies and the local government units of Bataan.
From the usual 4-5 hours of travel by land from Bataan to Pasay City, travelers can now reach MOA via Manila Bay in less than one hour.
The newly-launched Fast Ferry Boat Service is operated by the 1Bataan Integrated Transport System under its President Goody Ilagan. Commuters from the province of Bataan will also be given free shuttle service from Orion Port all the way to Dinalupihan in the North and AFAB-Mariveles to the South, making travel easier and more convenient.
Bataan Governor Abet S. Garcia initiated the project, or the estblisment of a reliable, safe and speedy ferry service between Bataan and Metro Manila with the help of businessman Goody Ilagan, a known hotelier, to serve public commuters through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
The Fast Ferry Boat service that will provide Bataan to MOA passengers with high class service is no other than M/V XGC Express as they will ferry passengers between Orion, Bataan and SM Mall of Asia Arena in less than an hour travel time.
The resumption of the one hour trip between Bataan and Metro Manila which is expected to benefit businessmen, tourists and shoppers, was finalized through the initiative of Bataan Gov. Abet Garcia.
