The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte vowed to fire an entire government commission over allegations of corruption.
Pres. Rody Duterte's statement of firing an entire commission was announced by the President just a few weeks before Christmas. The statement of the President was revealed during the 84th anniversary celebration of DOLE in Malolos, Bulacan.
The President was quoted as saying "On Monday, I will fire about one commission mismo. Lahat sila," Duterte said.
"Wala akong pakialam kung nakisali dalawa, tatlo, you have to go out. Because I do not think it will exist without your knowledge at bakit hanggang... Wala akong patawad-tawad," he added.

The 72-year-old President has repeatedly said that "a whiff of corruption" would be enough for him to fire an official "Corruption is really pulling us down," Duterte said.
Pres. Duterte once again told his audience during the DOLE anniversary about an official who traveled out of the country six times and give an ultimatum to the government official whom he did not named to file a resignation before he will fire the official.
The very first President from Mindanao keeps on reminding government workers that he didn't allow extravagance funded by taxpayer's money.
Under the administration of Pres. Duterte the highest ranking official he fired over allegations of corruption was then Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno. The President also fired National Irrigation Administration chief Peter Lavina was fired in March also for alleged corruption. Both of these officials were prime movers in Duterte's presidential campaign in 2016.

Pres. Duterte also fired Undersecretary Maia Chiara Halmen Reina Valdez for trying to reverse National Food Authority Jason Aquino's denial of a rice importation permit.
Other officials dismissed by Duterte are former Dangerous Drugs Board chairman Dionisio Santiago and Sugar Regulatory Administration chief Anna Rosario Paner.
